Prospectus for Jamalpur Economic Zone Launched for Plot Allotment

Investment Promotion Seminar: Prospectus Launching ceremony for Jamalpur Economic Zone has ben held at a hotel in capital on 20th June, 2019. Private Industry and Investment Adviser to the Honorable Prime Minister launched the Prospectus for all the prospective investors as Chief Guest. Principal Coordinator (SDG) Md. Abul Kalam Azad graced the occasion as Guest of Honor and Md. Mojaffar Ahmed MP, Mirza Azam, MP and Chairman of Rural Electrification Board Major General (Retd.) Moin Uddin were present there as Special Guest.

Jamalpur Economic Zone is being developed as the first ever zone in Mymensingh Division and this zone comprise of 436 acres of land. About 32000 thousand direct and indirect jobs will be created when the zone will be fully operational. Gas supply and 33/11 KVA electric substation has been established to support the investors. Along with these development work of drainage system, ground water reservoir, administration building, dormitory, boundary wall and internal access road are ongoing.

The Chief Guest invited all the prospective investors of the greater Mymensingh Division to take the chance of these unique opportunity to contribute in the inclusive development planning of Government of the  Bangladesh. He also sought there support  to make these economic zone a successful venture.

Chief Coordinator (SDG) Md. Abul Kalam Azad said, this initiative will not only augment the process of regional based developed but also will increase the number skilled and technically  enhanced manpower.

Among others officials of BEZA, higher officials of government investors and businessmen of different parts of Mymensingh and Jamalpur were present in the program.
